Terms of Use
Effective date: July 16, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and AI Canadian Solutions (“we”, “us”), Ontario, Canada, governing your use of EZ PDF Editor — the website at ezpdfeditor.aicanadiansolutions.ca, the web app, the Android app, and every tool they contain (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The Service
EZ PDF Editor provides tools for working with PDFs and images: filling, editing, signing, merging, splitting, compressing, converting, OCR, an AI voice form-fill assistant, and an e-signature request feature. Most tools run entirely in your browser; some (accounts, cloud-saved documents, signature requests, certain conversions, the AI) involve our servers, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. Accounts
Most tools require no account. If you create one, you must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly at ezpdfeditor@aicanadiansolutions.ca if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for everything done under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in Quebec) to create an account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not use the Service to:
- create, edit, sign, send, or process any document for an unlawful purpose — including forged, falsified, or fraudulently altered documents, counterfeit identification, or documents intended to deceive;
- process content you have no right to use — material that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, or any other right of a third party;
- send signature requests that are deceptive, unsolicited bulk mail, or that impersonate anyone;
- abuse the AI features — attempting to extract the underlying prompts or keys, using them to generate unlawful content, or circumventing rate limits;
- probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security; scrape it; resell it; or access it by any automated means other than a normal browser or our published interfaces;
- upload malware or any content designed to harm the Service or other users.
Free-tier limits (for example, daily caps on AI calls and conversions, and monthly caps on signature requests) are part of the Service; evading them is a breach of these Terms.
5. Your content and your responsibility
You keep all rights to the documents, images, signatures, profiles, and other content you process with or store on the Service (“Your Content”). We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the Service — e.g. to store a document you saved, to transmit a file you asked us to convert, and to deliver a signature request you created.
Your Content is your responsibility. You are solely responsible for its legality, accuracy, and the rights needed to use it; for the consequences of any document you fill, sign, send, or rely on; and for keeping your own copies — the Service is not a backup system. Verify every AI-filled field before you rely on it: the voice form-fill assistant is a convenience feature and can make mistakes.
No legal advice. Form templates (including Ontario LTB forms), field suggestions, and AI output are provided for convenience only and are not legal advice. Consult a professional where it matters.
E-signatures. It is your responsibility to determine whether an electronic signature is legally appropriate for a given document and jurisdiction, and to obtain any consent required from your signers.
6. Pro subscriptions & billing
Optional Pro features are billed as a recurring subscription through Stripe at the price shown at checkout, plus applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime via the billing portal in the app, effective at the end of the current billing period. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are non-refundable. We may change pricing with notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
7. Third-party services
Parts of the Service rely on third parties (OpenAI, ConvertAPI, SendGrid, Stripe, your browser’s speech recognition, CDNs — see the Privacy Policy). We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability may affect the corresponding features.
8. Service provided “AS IS”
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED — INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR LOSS-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY OUTPUT (INCLUDING AI OUTPUT AND OCR RESULTS) IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE, THAT CONVERTED OR EDITED FILES WILL BE FIT FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR THAT STORED DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES; IN THAT CASE THE EXCLUSIONS APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI CANADIAN SOLUTIONS AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, DOCUMENTS, PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS — WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, AND (B) CAD $50. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING APPLICABLE CONSUMER-PROTECTION LEGISLATION SUCH AS ONTARIO’S CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 2002.
10. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless AI Canadian Solutions and its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) Your Content; (b) your use or misuse of the Service; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or of any third party’s rights, including documents you filled, signed, sent for signature, or distributed using the Service.
11. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account as described on the account-deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access (including deleting an account and its data) if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service — with reasonable notice where practicable. Sections 5 and 8–13 survive termination.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, sitting in Ontario, for any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service — except that nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any competent court, and consumers keep any non-waivable rights to bring claims in their local forum.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above; for material changes affecting account holders we will also give notice by email or in-app. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
