Getting Started
EZ PDF Editor fills, signs and edits PDFs right in your browser. Nothing installs, and your file never has to leave your device just to get filled out.
Open a PDF
Drag a PDF onto the drop zone on the home screen, or click Open a PDF (📂) in the top bar. You can also start from a ready-made form under Browse tenancy forms, or add image files as pages.
The layout
The page fills the middle. The top bar holds Open, Select text, Text box, Image, Signature, and the ＋ Add and brush tools. The bottom bar holds Save to Docs, Download, Send for Signature, the Wizard, and the ? help button. A Pages panel (▤) slides out on the left to reorder or jump between pages.
Add something to the page
Everything works the same way: pick a tool, then drag a box where you want it, or click to drop it. Selected items show a small toolbar with their own buttons (colour, duplicate, layer up/down, delete).
Nothing is lost
Your work autosaves in this browser as you go. Sign in to keep named copies under My Documents and sync them across your devices.
A typical flow
Open the PDF → add text and checkmarks → drop your signature → Download the finished file, or Send for Signing to collect other people's signatures by email.
Text Boxes
Type anywhere on a PDF — even a flat, scanned one. A text box lays your words on top of the page.
Add a text box
Click Text box (⊞) — or press B — then drag a box anywhere on the page and start typing. The box grows to fit what you type.
Change the text size
With a box selected, use the A− / A+ buttons in the bottom bar to make the text smaller or bigger. The number between them shows the current size.
Colour & highlight
Each selected box has a 🎨 Fill button (box background / highlight colour) and an A Text colour button. Choose a preset swatch, pick any colour, or set fill to None for transparent.
Box or circle
The ▢ Shape button flips a box between a rectangle and a circle/oval — handy for circling a word or drawing an "O".
Move, duplicate, delete
Drag the ⠿ grip to move a box. ⧉ Duplicate makes an exact copy. ✕ deletes it. You can also copy & paste with Ctrl/⌘ C / V.
Make it a clickable link
The 🔗 URL button turns the whole box into a clickable link in the exported PDF — the entire box, not just the text inside it. This links the box itself, like an image; it doesn't let you link one word within a longer sentence.
Comb fields (one character per box)
On government forms with little boxes for each letter (like a name or phone field), EZ PDF Editor spaces each character into its own cell automatically when you make that region editable.
Images & Logos
Drop in a logo, a photo, a stamp, or a scanned signature — then position, resize, rotate and fine-tune it.
Add an image
Click Image (🖼) and choose a PNG or JPG, or use ＋ Add › Place an image. You can also paste an image straight from your clipboard onto the page (Ctrl/⌘ V).
Resize & rotate
Drag any corner handle to resize. Hold Shift while dragging a corner to stretch freely (ignore the original proportions). Use the ⟳ rotate handles to turn it — it snaps to 45°, or hold Shift to rotate to any angle.
Image Properties — brightness, contrast, transparency
The ⚙️ Image Properties button on an image opens live sliders for brightness, contrast, saturation and transparency. Great for making a logo watermark-faint, or cleaning up a scan. Changes bake into the exported PDF.
Make an image a link or a video
🔗 URL turns an image into a clickable link in the exported PDF. ▶ Video attaches a video that plays when the image is tapped — perfect for a QR-style "watch this" thumbnail.
Move, duplicate, layer, delete
Drag the image to move it. ⧉ duplicates, ↑ / ↓ move it up or down through the layers, and ✕ deletes it.
Vision boards, research boards, catalogs
Since every image can be resized, layered, and linked independently, a page of images with a 🔗 URL on each one becomes a clickable board or catalog — a moodboard, a research reference sheet, or a product catalog where clicking a photo opens that product's page in the exported PDF.
Signatures & Initials
Sign a document yourself in seconds — draw it, type it, or upload it once, and drop it anywhere.
Draw, type, or upload your signature
Click 🖊 Signature and choose Draw (mouse, trackpad or finger), Type (pick a signature-style font), or Upload (a photo or scan — a white paper background is removed automatically). Place it on the page, then resize and position it like any image. It's remembered so you can reuse it on other pages: select it and press ⧉ Duplicate (or Ctrl/⌘ C then V), then drag each copy into place — there's no separate "stamp" tool, duplicate-and-drag is how you reuse it.
Add a printed name & date
Check Include printed name & date in the signature window (works on any of the three tabs) to add today's date and your typed name in small print under the signature — one single element that moves, resizes and duplicates as a unit. Click the ✎ button on it afterward to edit the name or date.
Add initials
＋ Add › Draw your initials works the same way for initialling each page of a contract.
Add a signature image
Already have a photo/scan of your signature? Add it with the Insert Image tool and use ⚙️ Image Properties › transparency to drop out a white background.
Signature lines for someone to sign by hand
＋ Add › Add Signature Field (on a Write Document page) inserts two ready-to-fill signature-line-and-Print-Name/date pairs side by side, dated with today's date — for a printed copy someone signs on paper, or a lease/agreement template. ＋ Add › Add Date Field drops just a date on its own, anywhere on any page.
Signing yourself vs. sending to others
Placing your own signature here is for you signing. To collect signatures from other people by email, use Send for Signing (its own help section).
White-out · Redact · Copy · Make Editable
The brush tool lets you paint over any region of the page to clean it up or unlock its text. Click the brush in the top bar, then drag over the area you want.
White-out
Covers the region with a white box — like correction fluid. Use it to blank out old text before typing new text on top.
It covers, it does not remove. The original text is still in the file underneath and can be copied out of the downloaded PDF. That is fine for tidying up a form. For anything confidential — a SIN, an address, a bank number — use Redact.
Redact (black-out)
Covers the region with a solid black bar and permanently removes what was under it. On download, any page carrying a redaction is flattened to an image, so the original characters are gone from the file — they cannot be copied, searched or recovered. Only pages you redacted are flattened; every other page keeps its selectable text.
Select & copy text immediately on open
A document with a real, readable text layer — most Word-exported PDFs, most contracts and memos — opens with its text already selectable, the same way Acrobat's own default view works. Drag over a passage and copy it with Ctrl+C (Windows) or Cmd+C (Mac); no mode to turn on first, and editing keeps working the whole time. This is not OCR and does not convert or flatten anything — it reads the PDF's own embedded text.
It only kicks in for a document that opens with nothing already placed on it, so re-opening a form you're mid-way filling in is left exactly as you set it. Placing a new box, or dragging an existing one, switches back to editing automatically. Scanned or flattened pages have no text layer to select at all — that's what Make Editable (OCR) below is for.
Copy text
Pulls the real text out of the region so you can copy it elsewhere.
Make editable
Covers the original text and drops an editable text box in its place, pre-filled with the same words — and it matches the original font where it can. This is how you "edit" text that a PDF normally locks. On scanned/flat PDFs it reads the text so you can retype it.
Tip: white-out then type
To change a value on a flat form: white-out the old number, then add a text box on top with the new one. If your white box needs to sit above a pasted image, use Layer Up (see Layers).
Layers & Stacking
Every element sits on its own layer. Newer things sit on top — and you can restack anything by hand.
New items go on top
Anything you add — a text box, a pasted image, a signature — lands on top of everything already on the page, so it's never hidden behind existing content.
Layer Up / Layer Down
Every selected element has ↑ Layer Up and ↓ Layer Down buttons next to its Delete button. Layer Up moves it one step toward the front (above the next element); Layer Down moves it one step toward the back. Hover a button for an instant tooltip.
Clicking never changes the order
Selecting an element only selects it — it never jumps to the front. So once you've set a stack (say, a white-out box over a photo), clicking around won't disturb it. The order is yours until you change it with the layer buttons.
Example: white-out over a photo
Paste a photo, drop a white-out box, then press Layer Up on it so it sits above the photo. It stays there no matter what you click next.
Pages & Merging
Add, combine, reorder and remove pages without leaving the editor.
Page size & margins
Every page has a real paper size and real margins, and both are used for the download as well as the screen — what you lay out is what the PDF measures. The quickest way in is the paper-size menu in the Write toolbar (beside Paste with Formatting): pick Letter, Legal, A4, A3 or Tabloid, or Rotate to swap between portrait and landscape. That menu applies to the whole document, because paper is a property of a document — you rarely want page 3 of a contract on a different sheet from page 2.
For anything more specific, Page Setup (bottom of that menu, or above the page thumbnails) adds a custom size in points, per-side margins, and an Apply to all pages switch so you can give a single page its own paper when you genuinely need to — a landscape schedule inside a portrait report, for instance. Margin presets cover 1 inch, the default 48pt, narrow and none. Measurements are in PDF points: 72 points = 1 inch.
A page that came from a PDF file keeps the size that file gave it — that geometry belongs to the original document, so it is left alone and the app tells you when that is why nothing changed. Changing size or margins reflows the text, and it is a normal undo step: Ctrl/⌘ Z puts it back, and the button will say Undo Page Setup so you can see what it is about to reverse.
Opening Word documents — what carries across
Open a .doc, .docx, .rtf or WordPad file and it becomes an editable Write Document, not a flat picture of one. Two things travel with it that people usually expect to lose:
- Its page setup. We read the document's own page size and margins out of the file and match your pages to it, so an A4 document with 2cm margins opens as A4 with 2cm margins instead of silently becoming US Letter. A short summary of what we found appears when it opens.
- Its fonts, as far as we can carry them. We can only draw a typeface in the finished PDF if we can also embed it, so a document set in something we do not have gets swapped for the closest match we can carry all the way through — and we tell you which, with a picker to choose differently. Your choice is remembered, so the next document using that typeface will not ask again.
Be realistic about the rest: line breaks, hyphenation and table layout are Word's own engine, and no editor outside Word reproduces them exactly. Expect a faithful document — right paper, right margins, right sizes and spacing — rather than a glyph-for-glyph copy. Check anything with a tight layout before you send it.
Text size & line spacing
The Write toolbar has a text size dropdown and a line spacing dropdown (Single, 1.15, 1.5, Double and more). Both apply to whatever you have selected; with nothing selected, the size becomes what you type next. Line spacing applies to the whole paragraphs your selection touches, since spacing is a property of a paragraph rather than of individual letters. Both are undoable, and the undo button names them — Undo Text Size, Undo Line Spacing.
The Pages panel
Click Pages (▤) to slide out thumbnails. Drag them to reorder, click to jump to a page, or remove a page you don't need. Drag the panel edge to resize it.
Add a blank page
＋ Add › Add a new blank page inserts an empty page you can type or draw on.
Merge another PDF
＋ Add › Merge another PDF appends a second PDF's pages into this document — combine a cover letter and a form, for example.
Add images as pages
＋ Add › Add image file(s) as new page(s) turns photos or scans (PNG/JPG/HEIC…) into full PDF pages — handy for building a PDF out of phone photos.
Table of Contents
Headings become a clickable Contents list here, and real bookmarks in the downloaded PDF — the same feature Acrobat Pro charges for, built in for free. Works on a Write Document with real headings and on a plain, directly-opened PDF that has none.
Open the Contents tab
Open Pages (▤) in the sidebar — it's now labelled Pages & Contents — and click the Contents tab next to Pages.
Mark a heading (Write Documents)
Click into a line, open the ¶ Heading menu in the Write toolbar, and pick Heading 1, 2 or 3 — or Normal text to undo it. Heading 1 is for top-level sections, 2 and 3 for sub-sections within them. Opening a .docx, .odt or .rtf that already uses Word's Heading styles builds this list automatically — nothing to mark by hand.
Add an entry by hand (any PDF)
A directly-opened PDF has no h1/h2/h3 to read — its text is now selectable by default, so select any line and click the 📑 Add to Contents pill that appears next to it. That's the only way a plain PDF gets a Contents entry aside from scanning.
Scan for a Table of Contents page
If the document already has its own printed "Table of Contents" page, click AutoScan in the Contents tab. It finds that page, reads each line's title and printed page number, then re-checks every title against the real pages rather than trusting the print — anything it can't confirm is listed but left unchecked, so nothing gets added on a guess. Review the results and click Add checked to Contents.
Editing the list
Hover a row for ✏️ Edit (change the text or its target page) and 🗑️ Delete. Use the checkboxes plus the header checkbox and Delete Selected to remove several at once. Drag the ⠿ handle to reorder an entry, or drag it slightly right while dropping to nest it a level deeper as a sub-heading — right-click any row for the same options (Rename, Change Page Target, Demote/Promote, Delete) in a menu.
Clean OCR Spacing
Text pulled from a scan or a printed Table of Contents page sometimes comes out joined ("ORDERSOUGHT" instead of "ORDER SOUGHT"). Clean OCR runs a pass over every entry fixing the common cases — it only ever adds spaces at a real word boundary it recognizes, never guesses, so a phrase it doesn't recognize is left exactly as it found it.
In the downloaded PDF
Every entry — however it got there — becomes a real bookmark in the file itself, nested by level, using the same /Outlines mechanism Acrobat writes. Open the download in Chrome, Acrobat or Preview and the bookmarks panel is there, each entry jumping to the exact page.
Forms & Wizard
Common forms come mapped and guided, so the right information lands in the right place.
Browse ready-made forms
From the home screen, Browse tenancy forms opens the library — Ontario (LTB) and British Columbia (RTB) tenancy forms (N4, N5, N6, N11, standard lease and more). Pick your province, then the form, and it opens ready to fill.
The Wizard
On a supported form, the ✦ Wizard button walks you through it field by field — answer a few plain-language questions and it fills the form for you, so nothing gets missed. You can still edit any field afterward.
Editable fields on any form
Even on a form that isn't pre-mapped, use the brush's Make editable to turn a printed field into a typeable box (see Erase · Redact · Make Editable).
Voice Fill
Fill a form by talking — AI turns what you say into the right entries.
Talk to fill
Click Voice fill (🎤) and just speak your details. Your words are transcribed in your browser, then AI matches them to the form's fields and fills them in. Review and tweak anything before you finish.
Where it goes
Only the text of what you said and the form's field labels are sent to the AI to do the matching — your PDF's other contents stay on your device. See the privacy policy for details.
Guided voice on forms
On a guided form you can also choose "Answer out loud instead" to speak your way through the Wizard's questions.
Send for Signing
Collect legally-useful signatures from other people by email — each signer gets their own private link, and everyone gets the finished copy.
Start it
Click Send for Signature (✍) in the bottom bar. You'll sign in (an account is required to send), then add each signer's name and email — start typing either and a match from your saved Contacts & Signees is offered, so a repeat signer takes one click instead of retyping.
Place a "sign here" box for each signer
After adding signers, the bottom bar becomes a signer bar with a coloured chip per person. Drag a matching coloured "sign here" box onto the page for each signer — that's where they'll sign. Tap a chip's name to drop another box for that person; you can place several.
Send
When every signer has at least one box, the Send for Signing button lights up. Click it: EZ PDF Editor bakes your filled PDF and emails each signer a private signing link. The button stays greyed until each person has a box — the chip counts show who still needs one.
If you click Send for Signature again on a document that already has boxes placed — coming back to it later, say — you're asked Signature Requests Found on Form: Collect Signatures Now sends what's there straight to the confirm step, Place More Signatures drops you back into placement to add or move boxes, and Video Signing Room switches to signing it live instead.
What signers get
Each person opens their own link and is shown the Electronic Disclosure and Signature Consent first. They have to accept it before any signature can be placed, and the acceptance is recorded with its date, time and version. They then sign only their own boxes and submit. When the last person signs, every signature is overlaid onto the document and the finished PDF, with its Certificate of Signing, is emailed to everyone.
The document is sealed and certified either way — that part never changes. What you control, in the send confirmation step, is whether the signers' copy carries the trailing Certificate of Signing & Seal page: tick Don't include the Certificate & Seal page in the signers' copy and they get a clean copy of just the document, while your own copy always keeps the certificate, and the file's seal and its record at /seal are unaffected.
If someone declines
A signer can decline to sign at any point before they confirm, with an optional reason. Declining closes the whole request, not just their part of it. Nothing is signed, and the remaining links stop working straight away.
You are emailed immediately with the person's name and their reason. The other signers are emailed too, but only that the request was withdrawn and that nothing further is needed from them — not who declined, and not why. On a two-person request "someone declined" would name them, so we don't say it. Passing that on is yours to decide.
The withdrawn request stays in Pending Signatures as a record, marked Withdrawn, with the decline and its reason shown against the person who made it. Sort out the objection and use Send a fresh request on that card: the same document, the same people and the same signature boxes go out again with new links. It's a genuinely new request with its own audit trail — the withdrawn one is never overwritten, so your record never shows one request both declined and signed.
Calling it off yourself
You don't have to wait for someone to decline. Any request that's still open has a red ✕ Cancel signing button on its card in Pending Signatures. It closes the request the same way a decline does — every link stops working at once — and emails all the signers that you cancelled it. You can add a note, and unlike a decline reason that one is passed on: it's your own words to your own recipients, so there's nothing to protect.
It can't be undone, and a request that's already fully signed can't be cancelled at all — that one is finished. If somebody has already signed and you cancel anyway, the document is never completed and no signed copy is ever issued, to you or to them; they're told that plainly. Cancelled requests keep their record and offer Send a fresh request, so cancel → fix the document → send again is one path.
Track requests
Everything you've sent lives under Tools → My Work.
- Pending Signatures — every request still in flight. Each signer has a row showing whether they've signed, and a signage log that fills in with the date and time they signed, their IP address, approximate location and device. Anyone who declined is marked Declined there, with their reason, and the card is badged Withdrawn. There's a copy link button on each row if someone lost their email and you need to hand them the link another way.
- Completed Signatures — a request moves here the moment the last person signs. Click the document name to read the finished, signed PDF right here, or ⤓ Download signed copy to save it to your computer. It stays available from this list, so you never have to dig a signer's private link out of your email to get your own document back.
- Session Audits — the compliance record for every signing you send, by email or live on video: who was involved, when, from what device and IP, and who signed. Emailed requests show their own event stream; Video Signing Room sessions add who joined and when recording started/stopped. Each entry's status reads in its own vocabulary — Sending / In Progress / Completed / Declined / Cancelled for an emailed request, Scheduled / Live / Ended for a video session (Ended just means that call has finished, whatever its outcome).
Video Signing Room
Sign documents live, on video, with everyone in the same room at once — like a virtual notary, settlement, or closing meeting. A Pro feature.
What it is
The Video Signing Room turns a document into a live signing session. You and your guests see the same document while you're on camera together — talk it through, point at parts, and sign it in real time. It's ideal for notaries, lawyers, real estate closings, remote witnessing, and any agreement where people want to sign "face to face" without being in the same building.
Start a session
Open the document you want to sign, then click 🎥 VIDEO SIGN. Give the session a name, then confirm your full name and email — and add your occupation, phone number, city and province if you want to. These details are recorded in the compliance audit and can't be changed for this session. Confirm the document, and you're live — a note confirms a compliance audit is tracking the session.
Invite people
The Invite Your Signing Guests box opens automatically — add each guest's name and email (plus their occupation, phone, city and province, same as yours) and press Send Email Invites. Each guest gets an email with the session name and a personal Open & join the signing session link. You can also add someone from the sidebar's Send Email Invitation box — it sends the same email. When a guest opens their link they join the live video room, with the document beside everyone on camera — no app to install. The sidebar shows everyone in the call — you at the top, then guests in the order they joined — and each tile shows that person's name, occupation, phone and city/province. Everyone can mute their mic or hide their camera with the icons next to their name.
Sign together, live
As the host you're the facilitator. Under Live Signing, choose a guest and press Set Signature, then drop a "sign here" box on the document where that person should sign. Repeat for each guest. When everyone has a spot, press Let's Sign — each guest gets a signing pad, draws their signature, and it appears instantly in the place you assigned, in front of everyone. Perfect for a notary or lawyer witnessing a signature in real time.
Recording
Press ⏺ Record to record the session (the document plus the video feeds); press it again to stop. The recording is saved and retained by the host (you) — guests are not automatically sent the file. If you want to share it, press Share recording link with participants and each guest gets their own copy. A separate audio recording of the meeting is kept as well.
Staying in control
Press the X to minimize the room — you stay connected, and starting a recording brings everyone's feeds back on screen. Only the host can start a recording or end the session. When the session ends, everyone gets a "thank you" screen.
Identity checks
Set Identity check to Required when you set the session up and nobody signs until you have verified them — the guest uploads a photo of their government ID and a selfie from their own device, you compare both to the person on video, then choose ✓ I verify likeness or ✕ Ask to resubmit (a resubmit needs a reason, and the guest sees it). Signing stays blocked until you decide. Set it to Optional and guests can still upload, but nothing is held up.
A guest you invited by email can open their link and upload their ID before the session starts — you are emailed when they do, and it is waiting in the 🥪 panel when you open the room. Someone joining on an instant link can only upload once the room is live.
Verifying without a photo. On the Live Signing list, 🥪 Confirm ID marks a guest verified without them uploading anything — for a person you personally know, or one you satisfied yourself about on video. If you ran a check somewhere else — a credential-analysis or KBA provider, or an ID scanner in your office — open “I verified them with an external service” in that dialog and record the service, what was checked, its reference number and the date. It lands in the audit trail as Identity verified by external provider, alongside a note that the check was carried out outside this app and the details are as you entered them. EZ PDF Editor stores what you record there; it does not perform or validate that check.
Automated document check (optional). Where it has been switched on for the site, a guest can choose Verify my ID automatically instead of photographing their ID for you. Our verification partner Didit authenticates the card itself — is it genuine, do the printed details agree with its machine-readable data — and returns a verdict, usually in under a minute. It checks the document only: no face scan, no facial recognition, no liveness detection, and no biometric identifier is ever created. You still see the result and can still override it, and the whole thing is recorded in the audit trail as an automated check with the provider named. If it is not switched on, or a guest would rather not use it, nothing changes — they photograph their ID and you review it exactly as before.
What happens to ID photos. They are held on our servers in Canada, readable only by you, and the person is compared by eye — no facial recognition and no biometric matching. They are destroyed the moment you decide, unless you deliberately keep them, which requires a written reason that itself goes in the audit trail. Anything still held is deleted automatically after 30 days.
How identity verification works in Canada vs. the United States
Canada. Remote commissioning and notarization are principles-based: the commissioner or notary must be satisfied as to the signer’s identity. There is no statutory requirement for automated credential analysis, knowledge-based authentication or a biometric face match. A qualified professional comparing government ID against the person on live video — which is what this room is built around — meets that standard, and the recording plus the Audit Report are your evidence that you did it.
United States. Remote Online Notarization (RON) is authorised state by state and the rules are not uniform. The common pattern is identity proofing through credential analysis (automated authentication of the ID document) plus knowledge-based authentication (KBA — timed questions generated from public records); some states accept a biometric comparison as an alternative method instead. Most states also require an electronic journal and retention of the session recording, often for five to ten years, and the notary must be both commissioned and separately registered to perform RON in their state. A few states additionally require the platform itself to be approved.
What that means for this app. The optional automated check covers credential analysis. This app does not provide KBA and is not a state-approved RON platform, so it is not a substitute for a RON provider where your state requires one. For Canadian remote commissioning, and for witnessed or acknowledged signings where you satisfy yourself as to identity, it does exactly what it says. None of this is legal advice — confirm your own obligations with your regulator or your counsel, because they differ by province and by state.
Compliance audit
Every session keeps a detailed audit trail — who joined, when, from what device and IP, when recordings started and stopped, and who signed. Review it under Session Audits on the home screen. It's designed for accountability: the host's and each guest's details (name, email, occupation, phone, city and province) are locked in for the session, invite links always open the session they were sent from, and event times are shown in your time zone (each viewer sees their own). Completed signings are tamper-sealed (verify any copy at /seal), and every session can be exported as an Audit Report (PDF/CSV) from this list.
Best uses
Remote notarization and commissioning, real estate signings with buyer, seller and agent, legal documents like wills or powers of attorney, witnessing a signature, and business contracts where everyone wants to sign together live.

★ Save to Docs keeps a named copy in My Documents so you can reopen and keep editing later. Signed in, these sync to your account across devices; signed out, they stay on this device.
Recent & My Documents
The home screen shows Recent Opened Files (everything you've opened, kept on your device) and My Documents (your saved, named copies). Each has pencil (reopen) and trash (remove) buttons.
Print
Download the PDF and print it from your device's normal PDF viewer for the most reliable result.
Account & Sync
An account is free and unlocks cloud sync, saved profiles for autofill, and sending for signature.

What signing in adds
Your saved My Documents sync across every device you sign in on, forms can autofill from your saved profile details, and you can Send for Signing.

Each account only ever sees its own documents. Signing in on a shared computer never mixes your files with someone else's — the documents you made while signed out stay on that device unless you choose to claim them when you create an account.
Your professional details (notaries, commissioners, firms)
Under Edit autofill profile there is an optional Professional details block: business or firm name, your notary/commission number, the province or state you are commissioned in, and your commission expiry. Fill it in and it appears on the Certificate of Signing attached to every completed document, and in the emails your signers receive — so a document you send carries your business identity rather than only your name. Leave it blank and nothing changes: it never appears for people who do not fill it in.
It is shown as declared by you. We do not verify commission numbers, and the certificate says so in as many words. That is deliberate — the certificate is the evidence a reader relies on, so it has to distinguish a fact we checked from a detail you stated.
Commission expiry. If you enter an expiry date, the profile editor warns you when it is within 60 days, and flags it in red once it has passed — worth catching before a notarization is questioned rather than after.
It fills itself in. The Video Signing Room already asks for your name, occupation, phone, city and province at the start of every session. Tick “Save these details to my profile” there and they are kept, so Pre-fill from Profile completes the whole panel next time instead of you retyping it. Saving merges — it never wipes the mailing address or professional details this panel does not ask about.
