EZ PDF Editor fills, signs and edits PDFs right in your browser. Nothing installs, and your file never has to leave your device just to get filled out.
Drag a PDF onto the drop zone on the home screen, or click Open a PDF (π) in the top bar. You can also start from a ready-made form under Browse tenancy forms, or add image files as pages.
The page fills the middle. The top bar holds Open, Select text, Text box, Image, Signature, and the οΌ Add and brush tools. The bottom bar holds Save to Docs, Download, Set Signatures, the Wizard, and the ? help button. A Pages panel (β€) slides out on the left to reorder or jump between pages.
Everything works the same way: pick a tool, then drag a box where you want it, or click to drop it. Selected items show a small toolbar with their own buttons (colour, duplicate, layer up/down, delete).
Your work autosaves in this browser as you go. Sign in to keep named copies under My Documents and sync them across your devices.
Open the PDF → add text and checkmarks → drop your signature → Download the finished file, or Send for Signing to collect other people's signatures by email.
Type anywhere on a PDF β even a flat, scanned one. A text box lays your words on top of the page.
Click Text box (β) β or press B β then drag a box anywhere on the page and start typing. The box grows to fit what you type.
With a box selected, use the Aβ / A+ buttons in the bottom bar to make the text smaller or bigger. The number between them shows the current size.
Each selected box has a π¨ Fill button (box background / highlight colour) and an A Text colour button. Choose a preset swatch, pick any colour, or set fill to None for transparent.
The β’ Shape button flips a box between a rectangle and a circle/oval β handy for circling a word or drawing an "O".
Drag the β Ώ grip to move a box. β§ Duplicate makes an exact copy. β deletes it. You can also copy & paste with Ctrl/β C / V.
On government forms with little boxes for each letter (like a name or phone field), EZ PDF Editor spaces each character into its own cell automatically when you make that region editable.
Drop in a logo, a photo, a stamp, or a scanned signature β then position, resize, rotate and fine-tune it.
Click Image (πΌ) and choose a PNG or JPG, or use οΌ Add βΊ Place an image. You can also paste an image straight from your clipboard onto the page (Ctrl/β V).
Drag any corner handle to resize. Hold Shift while dragging a corner to stretch freely (ignore the original proportions). Use the β³ rotate handles to turn it β it snaps to 45Β°, or hold Shift to rotate to any angle.
The Modify button on an image opens live sliders for brightness, contrast, saturation and transparency. Great for making a logo watermark-faint, or cleaning up a scan. Changes bake into the exported PDF.
π URL turns an image into a clickable link in the exported PDF. βΆ Video attaches a video that plays when the image is tapped β perfect for a QR-style "watch this" thumbnail.
Drag the image to move it. β§ duplicates, β / β move it up or down through the layers, and β deletes it.
Sign a document yourself in seconds β draw it once and drop it anywhere.
Click Signature (β) and draw with your mouse, trackpad or finger. Place it on the page, then resize and position it like any image. Your drawn signature is remembered so you can reuse it on other pages.
οΌ Add βΊ Draw your initials works the same way for initialling each page of a contract.
Already have a photo/scan of your signature? Add it with the Image tool and use Modify βΊ transparency to drop out a white background.
Placing your own signature here is for you signing. To collect signatures from other people by email, use Send for Signing (its own help section).
The brush tool lets you paint over any region of the page to clean it up or unlock its text. Click the brush in the top bar, then drag over the area you want.
Covers the region with a white box β like correction fluid. Use it to blank out old text before typing new text on top.
Covers the region with a solid black bar to permanently hide sensitive info. The covered content is not in the exported file underneath β it's a real cover.
Pulls the real text out of the region so you can copy it elsewhere.
Covers the original text and drops an editable text box in its place, pre-filled with the same words β and it matches the original font where it can. This is how you "edit" text that a PDF normally locks. On scanned/flat PDFs it reads the text so you can retype it.
To change a value on a flat form: erase the old number, then add a text box on top with the new one. If your white erase box needs to sit above a pasted image, use Layer Up (see Layers).
Every element sits on its own layer. Newer things sit on top β and you can restack anything by hand.
Anything you add β a text box, a pasted image, a signature β lands on top of everything already on the page, so it's never hidden behind existing content.
Every selected element has β Layer Up and β Layer Down buttons next to its Delete button. Layer Up moves it one step toward the front (above the next element); Layer Down moves it one step toward the back. Hover a button for an instant tooltip.
Selecting an element only selects it β it never jumps to the front. So once you've set a stack (say, a white erase box over a photo), clicking around won't disturb it. The order is yours until you change it with the layer buttons.
Paste a photo, drop a white erase box, then press Layer Up on the erase box so it sits above the photo. It stays there no matter what you click next.
Add, combine, reorder and remove pages without leaving the editor.
Click Pages (β€) to slide out thumbnails. Drag them to reorder, click to jump to a page, or remove a page you don't need. Drag the panel edge to resize it.
οΌ Add βΊ Add a new blank page inserts an empty page you can type or draw on.
οΌ Add βΊ Merge another PDF appends a second PDF's pages into this document β combine a cover letter and a form, for example.
οΌ Add βΊ Add image file(s) as new page(s) turns photos or scans (PNG/JPG/HEICβ¦) into full PDF pages β handy for building a PDF out of phone photos.
Common forms come mapped and guided, so the right information lands in the right place.
From the home screen, Browse tenancy forms opens the library β Ontario (LTB) and British Columbia (RTB) tenancy forms (N4, N5, N6, N11, standard lease and more). Pick your province, then the form, and it opens ready to fill.
On a supported form, the β¦ Wizard button walks you through it field by field β answer a few plain-language questions and it fills the form for you, so nothing gets missed. You can still edit any field afterward.
Even on a form that isn't pre-mapped, use the brush's Make editable to turn a printed field into a typeable box (see Erase Β· Redact Β· Make Editable).
Fill a form by talking β AI turns what you say into the right entries.
Click Voice fill (π€) and just speak your details. Your words are transcribed in your browser, then AI matches them to the form's fields and fills them in. Review and tweak anything before you finish.
Only the text of what you said and the form's field labels are sent to the AI to do the matching β your PDF's other contents stay on your device. See the privacy policy for details.
On a guided form you can also choose "Answer out loud instead" to speak your way through the Wizard's questions.
Collect legally-useful signatures from other people by email β each signer gets their own private link, and everyone gets the finished copy.
Click Set Signatures (β) in the bottom bar. You'll sign in (an account is required to send), then add each signer's name and email.
After adding signers, the bottom bar becomes a signer bar with a coloured chip per person. Drag a matching coloured "sign here" box onto the page for each signer β that's where they'll sign. Tap a chip's name to drop another box for that person; you can place several.
When every signer has at least one box, the Send for Signing button lights up. Click it: EZ PDF Editor bakes your filled PDF and emails each signer a private signing link. The button stays greyed until each person has a box β the chip counts show who still needs one.
Each person opens their own link, signs only their boxes, and submits. When the last person signs, all the signatures are overlaid onto the document and the finished PDF is emailed to everyone.
Your sent requests and their status appear in the e-sign panel so you can see who has signed and who's still pending.

πΎ Download exports a flattened PDF with everything baked in β text, images, signatures, erases and redactions β ready to email, print or upload anywhere. You choose the file name.
β Save to Docs keeps a named copy in My Documents so you can reopen and keep editing later. Signed in, these sync to your account across devices; signed out, they stay on this device.
The home screen shows Recent Opened Files (everything you've opened, kept on your device) and My Documents (your saved, named copies). Each has pencil (reopen) and trash (remove) buttons.
Download the PDF and print it from your device's normal PDF viewer for the most reliable result.
An account is free and unlocks cloud sync, saved profiles for autofill, and sending for signature.
Use the account button (top right). Sign in with email + password, or create an account in seconds. Forgot your password? Request a reset code by email.
Your saved My Documents sync across every device you sign in on, forms can autofill from your saved profile details, and you can Send for Signing.
Each account only ever sees its own documents. Signing in on a shared computer never mixes your files with someone else's β the documents you made while signed out stay on that device unless you choose to claim them when you create an account.
You can request account deletion anytime from Account Deletion.
